A fiesta celebration without the “karnabal” / “peryahan” is not complete. Aside from the religious activities, the karnabalan is an integral part of the secular festivities. Back in the 80s, the” karnabalan” offers very few rides and most of them look very dilapidated. Yet people flock to these rides not minding the peeling paint and the rust. Fast forward to 2018, there are still the rickety, rusty classics with peeling paint and all like the ferris wheel, the caterpillar and the octopus, but the karnabalan today has more to offer. Rides like the Galleon and the not so new Galaxy are crowd drawers.
